SWEAT. SKILL. BROTHERHOOD. That’s the Union way.

For many coming out of the military, union apprenticeships are a smooth transition.
The discipline, teamwork, and technical skills you developed in the service give you a strong start. You’ll work with a team toward a common goal, get excellent training and mentorship, and have rewarding, hands-on work. Best of all, you’ll earn a paycheck and full benefits while you build your career, so you can support your family and your dreams.

Helmets to Hardhats

Many apprenticeship programs partner with the nonprofit Helmets to Hardhats.
Helmets to Hardhats helps those getting out of the military secure jobs in the
construction industry. Participants include service members, veterans,
National Guard, and Reservists. Veterans can register at helmetstohardhats.org and be ready to submit their DD-214
form when applying to a local program. If you’re ready to get started as an apprentice,
your military background could give you a step up.
